The shelf I am keeping my wool stash really needed some sorting – this happens when you put all kind of things (snippets of wool from the last finished project, new wool I needed to buy and so on) in there “for now” and “put it away properly later”.

What‘s the worst that could happen?

When I start a new project without a real plan this one is always on my mind: “what’s the worst that can happen?” The answer is: nothing bad. You could lose time because you need to undo stuff. But there are no lives at risk because you just go ahead and try something out. No one is going to suffer because of it (ok, maybe you will, but no one else).

Design Process: from idea to pattern (the chaotic version)

Sometimes when I talk to Sarah and Katharina about their design process, I feel really bad… They tend to think things through and actually do the math on it beforehand. I on the other hand mostly just swing it…

When I start there are mostly pictures in my head (no math anywhere to be seen). So when I started on my corner to corner shrug I didn’t know what exactly it would be just that I wanted some kind of shrug and that I really wanted to try it out. I will take you along for the ride and tell you how I started getting to the pattern in the end.

Mood Scarf Crochet Along

Hello and welcome to our first CAL!

What we are doing here is a scarf which shows the moods you had in one month. I already made mine and it is showing the moods of August. I did not work on it every day but wrote down everything for one month and started crocheting afterwards. You can either do it that way or crochet very evening (or every time you actually have time for it, I know we are all busy!)
