The shelf I am keeping my wool stash really needed some sorting – this happens when you put all kind of things (snippets of wool from the last finished project, new wool I needed to buy and so on) in there “for now” and “put it away properly later”.

Design Process: from inspiration to idea

As you know the three of us work very differently when it comes to our own designs. Today I want to show you how I start with something new (and as I am the one with the many many WIPs, starting is the easiest thing for me).

I actually don’t think that I am a creative person. I cannot really draw or decorate and my pictures are generally rather OK than inspiring. So why should you be interested in what I have to say on the matter?

Learning new things – Spinning

Spinning my own yarn – nothing I had on my learning list very high to be honest. But when Christina unexpectedly found an old spinnig wheel on a fleamarket the possibility was suddenly there.

And because I got a voucher from the girls for my birthday (thank you again!) to an online wool shop which sells dyed skeins ready for spinning I couldn´t stop myself to start this new learning experience.
